Hilton Downtown Austin, TX was the place to be the last week of July! Why? You may ask!!! 3 words…NACE EXPERIENCE 2010! That’s technically 2 words and a year but you get the picture!

For three days members came from all over to partake in workshops, programs, resources, speakers, and awards!

On July 25, 2010, Kellie Bryson was honored as by recognition from Greg Casella, President of the National Association of Catering Executives, and placed on the highly distinguished Presidents List of NACE for her outstanding achievement and selfless volunteer service.

This is a huge honor and we congratulate Kellie on her well-deserved award! This is one list you want to be on and we are thrilled for Kellie’s achievement!

The Nashville Scene’s Best of Nashville, is an annual reader’s choice poll, in which you write in your favorites from categories such as Food & Drink, Arts & Entertainment, Media, Home, Shopping, Kids and more. Lifetime of Giving Award

Tennessee Voices for Children is a non profit children advocacy agency who speaks out as an active voice for the emotional and behavioral well-being of children and their families. On August 12, 2010 they honored those within the community who do just that!!! Among those honorees was Main Event Productions and A Catered Affair’s very own Kellie Bryson. She was awarded the Lifetime of Giving award. This award is for the company outside of the child serving system that has always supported TVC through generous gifts, donations, and services.

Congratulations to Kellie and the other honorees! Thank you for your hard work, generosity, and life-changing impact you have on the Nashville community.

What is the space best used for? Corporate meetings, holiday parties, wedding receptions, themed parties, rehearsal dinners, showers, teas, gallery showings, murder mystery parties, etc.

Where do guests park? Guests park across from the building on 15th street. There are 66 parking spaces available and compatible for valet parking services.
Is there a rooftop? Yes! 700 square feet of a stunning view of downtown Nashville! Holds up to 50 people are any one time.

Is there a sound system? Audiovisual equipment, overhead sound system, wireless microphone, projector and screen, and ipod docking station.
How many people does your space hold? standing reception-120; rooftop-50; seated dinner parties-100; dinner and dancing-80.
What all is included when I book an event? All events include rooftop deck rental, parking, tables, chairs, linens, table centerpieces and additional hours.

Kellie Bryson’s Best Thing She Ever Ate

I think that if Kellie Bryson, creator and owner of Main Event Productions, could have Willy Wonka’s Chocolate river flowing through her office, she would in a heartbeat! Then again, who wouldn’t?!?!

When Kellie answered the question of the best thing she ever ate, her initial response was “CHOCOLATE! CHOCOLATE! CHOCOLATE!” Obviously, chocolate comes in many forms and fashions. With that being said, here’s Kellie’s top 3 Bake Shoppe’s Chocolate Delights:

1. Chocolate Kahlua Fudge Cake drizzled in chocolate ganache- This cake flavor was actually served at her wedding for the groom’s cake!

2. Chocolate Panna Cotta- This serves as a healthier version of chocolate pudding and mousse because it is made with milk and not cream. Though light and silky, it is rich enough to seem sinful!

3. Tiramisu- Epitome of perfection when this airy sponge cake meets a coffee-Marsala mixture and layered with Mascarpone and chocolate for the sweetest finish!

Though Kellie Bryson is a fine chocolate extraordinaire, there are some things that can’t replace good ole’, store bought, tollhouse chocolate chip cookies and Oreos!

Perhaps some of you reading this might think we are slightly crazy for thinking that the Christmas season has already approached! Though I will not deny nor confirm that we aren’t all a little crazy, it is never too early to at least be brainstorming some ideas on how to make this year’s Christmas party or event stand out above all the rest!

The holiday season is my favorite time of year! When it comes to family and friend gatherings and parties there is always the process of incorporating old traditions with contemporary twists, revisiting sweet memories and creating new ones!
