The Bake Shoppe and A Catered Affair were developed in 1996, as the brainchild of Kellie Bryson, a self-taught master of the culinary arts. Kellie spent thirteen years working as a registered nurse in critical care units before switching gears by delving into the world of food preparation and party planning. From that experience, she’s gleaned an attention to detail that most caterers don’t possess. Her understanding of and dedication to quality has resulted in The Bake Shoppe becoming one of the premier confectioners in Middle Tennessee, growing rapidly from a staff of one to an entire team. In addition to staying atop of the trends in catering and confection, MEP continues to strive to be more eco-friendly in every way possible.

Recently Kellie and her husband Jerry moved their businesses into a classic renovated brick building with an amazing rooftop view of the Nashville skyline. The building, Events @ 1418, is available to host various types of occasions from business meetings to wedding receptions.
